Apologies for the very late upload 🙏🏻 I've gone into detail about the changes to my upload schedule in my previous community post, so if you missed it, do give it a read!

So this isn't actually a song from an anime, but I fell in love with it on the first listen so I decided to cover it! The chorus is just so damn cathartic to listen to, and I'd say it gives 「ギターと孤独と蒼い惑星」 "Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet" a serious contest for best chorus in my books!

This is the fastest (played at 165 BPM!) and most complex arrangement I've done thus far. At the outset I was already plagued with fear that it might simply be impossible for me to do this one within any reasonable timeframe. I was actually this close to just giving up before I had even started, but I must say I'm really glad that I chose to take the plunge!

The intro and outro instrumentals were by far the hardest parts of this song. In the 2 months dedicated to this one cover, I'd say about a whole 90% of all that time and effort was invested into just those two parts! They're where most of the flying between complex fretting patterns happen, and I refused to settle for dumbing them down to a more comfortable level.

I got a lot out of it though. I was forced to understand and tackle one of my most damaging guitar habits: fretting too hard. By slowing down and focusing on my fretting pressure, I realised just how surprisingly little force is actually needed to fret a clean note. Learning to fret lightly is really a game changer. Still not second nature to me yet of course, way far from it, but I feel like I'm finally making some real progress in terms of playing speed, and it feels great! 💪🏻

Definitely one of the most fun covers I've done thus far. A lot of progress has been made from how it first started, so despite it still sounding kinda scrappy, I'm very happy with how this one turned out!
