Today, we beginning our study of The Book of Romans.

Paul wrote Romans at the end of his third missionary journey to establish the church in Rome in apostolic teaching so they could be a launchpad for his ministry further west.

He had also been made aware of the disunity among the churches in Rome, so he wrote to ground the Roman Christians in the gospel’s teaching that all people are justified by faith in Christ and thus there is one people of God composed of believing Jews and Gentiles who walk by the Spirit. Therefore they must welcome one another and glorify God together.

Within this eighth chapter of Romans, Paul writes to the followers of Christ Jesus in Rome to provide encouragement to the Romans. This chapter is so powerful! The first verse begins by Paul's reassurance that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus! Romans 8:28 let's us know that all things work together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose! What a powerfully transformative revelation!

He also lets them know how much he longs to be with them in Rome, and encourages each of them to keep the faith in Christ Jesus!

We are to follow Paul's example and share our testimony when prompted by the Holy Spirit to edify and lift up others in the faith. Amen!

Paul knows that God will never fail him, and He will never fail us either brothers and sisters! Put your hope, faith, and trust in the living God and watch Him do miracles in your life!

This is a beautiful example of the Holy Spirit showing emphasis and importance in this scripture.

We are to follow the example of transparency of the Apostle Paul in our relationship with the Lord!

The Lord will protect us because He is our protector!

The Lord will keep us safe and will never abandon us in our time of need!

We have free will to remember the times that the Lord was there for us in the past and trust in His unwavering character that He will always be there for us in the future! Amen!

We can trust the Lord to have our back during our times of need, just like the Apostle Paul.

I'm so grateful for the love of Christ and his sacrifice on Calvary! We have free will to love and live for our Almighty God, even when we make mistakes, He forgives us and helps us to do His will!
