Cycling Up Hills in India - Kadve Khind, Pune's Tropical Climb | Indian Inclines

If you love cycling up hills and you’re looking for a beautiful, tropical, climbing route in Pune, look no farther than Kadve Khind. This climb is about 40 kilometers from the center of the city, and you can climb the northern side, from Panshet road, or the southern side from the road that hits Torna fort, off the Bangalore highway.

The climbs from either side are decently challenging, but if you’re looking for a suffer-fest, ride down Panshet road, across Pabe Ghat and back across Kadve Khind’s southern side, which is what we did. This climb offers some of the best views and vantage points I’ve come across in Pune, and what we enjoyed most, was the somewhat tropical atmosphere and the varied landscape we were crossing.
