Impulse Response VS Real Cab

How does an IR actually compare to a real cabinet? With cab simulations being extremely convenient and sounding very good, how much value remains in using a real guitar cabinet, at which point do we say an impulse response can do the job, is it practicing? Jamming? Rehearsing? Gigging? Recording?

In this video I shoot out a real guitar cabinet against its digital simulation counterpart and attempt to answer that for myself as well as all of you.
