Pt. Purbayan Chatterjee's craft is rooted in the Senia-Maihar Gharana's blend of Dhrupad & Khyal. He follows the traditions on the footsteps of music legends including Pt. Ravishankar, Ustad Ali Akar Khan & Pt. Nikhil Banerjee. He is rightly credited for amalgamating traditional Indian Classical Music with World Music genres and is a recipient of many glorious awards.
