DELs are back on the channel again! After a 5 month hiatus of them featuring on the channel after showcasing the true potential of the batch of Voith MMCs at Cricklewood, today we are back but this time we are on a completely different batch, the LK66s currently residing at Brentford Garage. This video features one getting ragged through West London on the 190 plus on the high speed deadrun back to its home depot along the A4. I must say these buses have been through a tough time. At Edgware, these weren’t so good on the 251 and likewise at Uxbridge but it seems as though the Brentford engineers have managed to work their magic on them and bring them back to life! They drive like proper go karts! Quick off the mark, don’t rattle as much and easy to manipulate.

I would be lying to say this isn’t my favourite video out of all Voith MMC videos I have on my channel because this particular driver was putting in work and the trickery was just state of the art!!

The 190 itself is a nice route though with dual carriageway to put your foot down as well as straight sections where you can afford to throttle pump and manipulate the bus into downshifting and redlining. Another good route I’d recommend to you guys. Lastly, the retarder noise on these LK66s are absolutely musical!!
