Wonderful weather and a walk in the park of Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam near Berlin.
Built between 1745 and 1747, the palace was the summer residence and favourite place of King Frederick II (known as "Old Fritz").
The terraced vineyard in front of the palace was laid out at the same time as the palace.
The other buildings, such as the New Chambers (guest house) and the picture gallery, were built in the immediate vicinity of the palace.
The palace, the other surrounding buildings and the entire park area are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You can get directly to Sanssouci Palace from Potsdam Central Station in 15 minutes by bus X15 or 695.
