Melvin Howard Tormé (Chicago, 13 September 1925 - 5 June 1999), also kown asThe Velvet Fog, was an American singer, composer, arranger, drummer, actor and author of five books.
Hij wrote the "The Christmas Song" (also known as "Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire") with Robert Wells.
