Josy (Helena Zengel), the thirteen-year-old daughter of the renowned psychiatrist Viktor Larenz (portrayed by Stephan Kampwirth), vanishes mysteriously. Her fate remains a baffling enigma. Fast forward two years: Viktor, still mourning the loss of his daughter, withdraws to an isolated vacation home.

It's in this secluded refuge that he encounters Anna, a peculiar young woman (played by Emma Bading). She is tormented by hallucinations in which a young girl, much like Josy, appears to her and then vanishes without a trace.

Viktor embarks on his therapy sessions, which increasingly evolve into a tense and suspenseful cat-and-mouse game.
