Prof Greg Marsden - (How) does place matter to decarbonisation pathways?

ABOUT THE LECTURE

This talk explores the challenge and opportunity of place-based approaches to decarbonisation. Greg will use examples from national to bottom-up neighbourhood-scale iniatiatives. While the lecture draws on examples from transport, it will also address the nexus of housing, heating, and transport.

BIO

Greg Marsden is Professor of Transport Governance at the Institute for Transport. He is the Theme Leader for Place in the Energy Demand Research Centre and established DecarboN8, a network to understand place-based decarbonization. He regularly advises local, regional, and national governments.
