An HTML form is a section of a webpage that contains interactive elements such as text fields, password fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, and other controls. The primary purpose of an HTML form is to collect user input and submit it to a server for processing.

To create an HTML form, the form tag is used. Inside this tag, various form elements like input fields can be added to gather information from users.

Two key attributes of the form tag are method and action.

The method attribute determines how the form data is sent to the server. Commonly used methods include GET and POST.

GET appends form data to the URL, which is useful for simple queries.
POST sends form data in the body of the HTTP request, making it more suitable for sensitive or larger amounts of data.
The action attribute specifies the URL or location where the form data should be sent upon submission.

These attributes ensure that the form communicates effectively with the server, making it possible for the user's data to be processed correctly.
