I visited Costa Rica in late March, 2017. During our trip, we spent 5 days in the Monteverde (Santa Elena) area. Our main excursion for our stay in Monteverde was to go on a canopy tour. Costa Rica is considered the birthplace of modern zip line tours so I was not going to miss out on this. But with so many companies in the area, I struggled to choose the best one. I finally decided to go with Original Canopy Tour. Our zip line tour was fantastic. It included a Tarzan Swing, 14 zip line platforms and lines, a rappel, and a hollow tree climb - all included in the price. Some other companies tack these "extras" on as additional expenses but not Original Canopy Tour. And I couldn't have been happier with our decision. We had a great time!

The highlight of the tour? Flying along on their longest zip line - 800 meters (almost a kilometer)! It felt like I was soaring through the trees.
