Story:
Andy and Emmet go prospecting for gold and uncover stolen bank loot.
Trivia:
Cartoon voice artist Mel Blanc appears early in this short using his familiar “Porky Pig” voice.
The working title was “Gold is where you find it”.
This short is a remake of Sidney’s and Murray’s “Back to the soil” (1934) and the Three stooges “Yes, we have no bonanza”(1939)
It was remade as “pleasure treasure”.
This short was also released by Excel Movie Products as a 16mm silent home movie entitled “fools for gold.

It was released on September 1, 1944.
