One o the great success stories of the American wilds is the re-introduction o the wolf to the Yellowstone ecosystem. If you think otherwise, you’re wrong. Plain and simple. Even though it’s been thirty years since their re-introduction, it is still fairly difficult to see them in the park for the average visitor. So when we had learned that the Junction Butte pack were still occupying their density on the far side of the Slough Creek, we were going to go see them. Small problem though - the den site is roughly 2.5 miles rom the nearest road. So it would be a stretch to see them clearly, even with our big scopes. So you’ll have to excuse the shakiness of the video. It’s hard to maintain a stable shot from that distance.

But, we did get to see puppies from most of the time we were there. my best count was 5 puppies when an adult came home to check on them. Was a great way to start our day of wildlife hunting in the great American Serengeti.
