Sun 'Rahu' conjunction is called 'Grahana yoga' and is also one of the combinations that form 'Pitri Dosha' in the chart.

Although this conjunction is not considered good by most astrologers and even in the traditional interpretations, this can be a very powerful combination if it is well placed in the chart.

The North node 'Rahu' conjunct Sun shows that the soul probably was unable to acquire sufficient experiences in the previous lifetime that enabled authoritative development, fame, recognition or power.

In this lifetime therefore, life experiences will be such that the native will over time become obsessed with power, fame, authority and recognition.

The problem however is that early on in life, the influence of North node can cause a lot of confusions and disillusionment with respect to the soul's purpose and destiny in this lifetime.

So this disillusionment can cause a lot of misinterpretations of one's strengths, weaknesses, skills an goals in this lifetime.

This can often cause these people to come across as arrogant, over confident and superficial.

In time, life experiences help the individual shape their true personality but this process isn't without difficulties, trials and problems.

Quite often the biggest issues and challenges that the individual faces is wrt to relationships with authority figures, father figures and establishment of themselves as authority figures.

Getting others to take them 'seriously' is one of the biggest challenges that these people place in life. That's why quite often they can end up taking bigger risks than usual.. over expression of authority is actually what causes the 'Auhoritarian' nature of these natives..
