Biggest ABANDONED Train Terminal In U.S.

Описание к видео Biggest ABANDONED Train Terminal In U.S.

This is Buffalo Central Terminal. An iconic building that towers over the city. Once one of the most active locations in the area, it now sits abandoned with only the occasional explorer to keep it company.

This station was opened in 1929 and served more than 200 trains and 10,000 passengers daily. The terminal served as a central hub for the residents of Buffalo. Getting them to various places in Pennsylvania and NY.

In the 1940s the station was essential in transporting Soldiers, Goods, and Ammunition.

Over the years, the use of transportation by train decreased heavily and the last train left Buffalo Central in 1979.

Despite being closed since 1979, multiple groups in the city have been fighting tirelessly to preserve and restore the once great terminal. Events were held in main building in the early 2000s such as train and car shows. As of 2021, restoration was finally approved and is well underway.

DISCLAIMER: We do not enter any building forcefully! If all access points are sealed, we leave. We do not take anything from these locations. We firmly believe in the saying "Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints". If you are an owner of any of the buildings we have visited, and are upset, please email us immediately. We have nothing but the utmost respect for the buildings we visit and would be more than happy to take down the video and/or content at your request.
