Fresh Air, Season 2: UIP, PAP and more on transbronchial cryobiopsies

Описание к видео Fresh Air, Season 2: UIP, PAP and more on transbronchial cryobiopsies

Another brand new episode of season 2 our educational series in which thoracic pathologists chat about topics in the field (pathology of the lung, thymus, mediastinum and pleura). The doctors in this discussion are Dr. Sharada Nagoti from India, Dr. Irene Sansano, MD, PhD, from Barcelona, Spain, Dr. Raghavendra Pillappa from Virginia Commonwealth University and Dr. Matt Cecchini from London, Ontario, Canada. This week we discuss more transbronchial lung cryobiopsy cases from Dr. Sansano's awesome collection.

These chats are informal, casual, educational and engaging. Most important: this is NOT a series of boring lectures where one person drones on for 60 minutes. We're just thinking out loud and sharing our thought process, and we hope that pathologists and even other doctors, patients and members of the public will learn something useful from these chats.

Dr. Matthew Cecchini (Twitter handle: @Path_Matt) is a medical doctor and pulmonary pathologist in Ontario, Canada. He did his fellowship training in thoracic pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Please check out his YouTube channel where he posts great educational videos on thoracic pathology topics:

Dr. Sanjay Mukhopadhyay is a medical doctor (pathologist) in Cleveland, Ohio (USA). Like Matthew, he diagnoses lung diseases such as lung cancer, mesothelioma, infections and interstitial lung disease by examining tissue samples with a microscope. He is the author of a textbook of lung pathology published by Cambridge University Press. He also posts freely accessible educational material related to pathology and lung diseases on Twitter (@smlungpathguy), Instagram (@smlungpathguy) and Facebook (his professional Facebook page is open to all).
