To kickstart Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025, Touchy-Feely took to the streets of Brixton and Stratford, London, to have raw, unfiltered conversations about Black women, breast cancer, and the care gaps that continue to cost lives.

In this short documentary, we speak directly to the community; real people with real experiences about the taboos, stigma, and silence that surround cancer in Black communities. From the fear of diagnosis to the lack of culturally competent healthcare, this film spotlights the urgent need for representation, education, and change within the black community.

Our 2025 campaign, “The Forgotten Faces of Breast Cancer,” was created to amplify the stories of Black and Brown women who are often excluded from mainstream awareness campaigns, the women who face delayed diagnoses, racial bias, and healthcare systems that don't cater to their needs.

As a Black woman and cancer survivor, Touchy-Feely's founder Nellie Gbadebo knows firsthand the isolation and systemic neglect that can follow a diagnosis. Through Touchy-Feely, she’s built an organisation that amplifies marginalised voices, challenges bias and builds systems of care where representation, respect, and equity are non-negotiable.
