Labour’s Angela Rayner: Cracking Down on Landlords with Mouldy Homes | Good Morning Britain

Labour Deputy Leader Angela Rayner joins GMB today to discuss the Labour Party’s commitment to crack down on social housing landlords who fail to fix mouldy homes. They aim to extend this to private landlords as well. The new law will require landlords to investigate and fix mould issues within a two week period.

The move comes after the death of two year old Awaab Ishak in December 2020. After prolonged exposure to mould in his home. Angela Rayner explains why Labour want to take this law further.
