Deranged Mother Speeds Off From Police During Traffic Stop

On September 8, 2023, an officer with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle veering to the left, nearly striking a parked car, the officer also noticed other signs of an impaired driver and conducted a traffic stop.

During the officer conference, all officers on scene turn off the audio on their bodycams and start assessing the damage caused by the accident, no video with audio is available until the officer turns his audio back on, to attempt to inform the home owner of what happened.

After the original officer finished speaking with the neighbors and completing all necessary protocols, he returned to the suspect, read her her Miranda rights, and proceeded to question her.

the officers then had another officer conference, and about 15 minutes later the officer gets back into his squad car to transport the suspect to the hospital even though she already refused to let medics on scene help her.


They were in the hospital for about 3 hours, as we heard the officers say she had a big cut on her knee that we can assume needed stitches. The officer then takes her back outside and into the squad car to be transported to the saint johns county jail.
