As promised, I’ve put together this short video from my time at the Black History Fashion several days ago.
It had been a long and busy day, but I’m so glad I made it. There was something truly special about seeing young people walk the runway, businesses showcase their work and designs, and take up space with so much confidence and pride. You could feel the passion and hard work behind every outfit and every step.
For me, it wasn’t just about the clothes - it was about community, visibility, and the quiet reminder that the Black community in the North East is building something powerful with each gathering like this.
