Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume flight operations to Europe and the UK after a three-year suspension. This comes as the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the European Commission have lifted the ban, following significant safety improvements by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA). The suspension, which began in 2020 due to safety concerns and controversies over pilot licenses, had severely impacted PIA’s operations and finances.

With the ban lifted, PIA is expected to restart flights soon, potentially revitalizing its financial situation and facilitating easier travel for Pakistanis in Europe and the UK. The government is also working on acquiring new aircraft to meet operational demands for these routes   .
