Actor Brenton Thwaites received the "Rising Star" award at the 2014 EuroCinema Hawaii Award's Gala. The Australian born actor recently appeared in Disney's Maleficent Staring Angelina Jolie where he played the role of Prince Charming, acted along side Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges in the Giver, and just wrapped up filming for the blockbuster movie Gods of Egypt staring Gerard Butler that is set to appear in theaters in 2016.
