Medusa is a strange cjaracter with thousands of snakes on her head. Medusa can turn anyone into stone with her gaze. Perseus killed Medusa. With Medusa's severed head, he killed Cetos and Perseus married Andromeda. Medusa was born as a normal beautiful human from his sea monster parents , terrible violent brothers and sisters! She worshipped the goddess Athena in the temple of Greece! Uncle Poseidon had an old feud with Athena, daughter of Zeus. The city of Athens was named after Athena who defeated Poseidon. To avenge this insult, Medusa was physically tortured by Poseidon inside the temple of Athens. Poseidon escaped from there after doing the deed. When Athena found out,Athena cursed Medusa, her curse turned the beautiful Medusa into a terrible sea monster! A head full of golden hair turned into poisonous snakes! Athena cursed those who looked into Medusa's eyes, turned to stone! Later Perseus went out to find Medusa to carry out the king's orders. Athena gave him the search for Medusa. Athena gave him a shield to escape from her sight! On his return, Perseus presented the severed head of Medusa to Athena. Athena placed the severed head in the center of her shield and established it as a symbol of valor.
