Pac-Man World: Marathon Mode: Part 1: Pirate Mazes

Описание к видео Pac-Man World: Marathon Mode: Part 1: Pirate Mazes

Even before you start playing through Quest Mode of this game, there is an alternate mode called Mazes where you go through different mazes based on the original Pac-Man gameplay: Eat all of the Pac-Dots to complete the maze, and avoid getting killed by the Ghosts. To fight back against them, chomp down a Power Pellet and chase after them while they're dark blue!

Several of these mazes are already unlocked, but you unlock more of them to select by finding and beating them through Galaxian Doors in Quest Mode.

A mode within this mode is called Marathon Mode, and it can only be unlocked by completing every Galaxian Door mazes in Quest Mode. Marathon Mode then makes you playthrough EVERY SINGLE MAZE IN THE ENTIRE GAME. The ones that are already unlocked, plus the ones you have to find, and that makes for a grand total of 36 mazes!

This is a Survival Mode of sorts, because it relies on the lives you gained from Quest Mode, so I have nothing to worry about in this case. Just know that both your lives and your health carry over from maze to maze when you're running the Marathon.

You are allowed to quit Marathon Mode at anytime, but know that you'll have to start it all the way over from the beginning no matter how far you've gotten into it.

This video will specifically focus on the 6 Pirate Mazes. Unlike other sections of Ghost Island, you should start out with 4 default mazes, with 2 more to find. This is mainly because the very first level, Buccaneer Beach, doesn't have a maze. All other areas are 3-3 in this case.

The first 3 Pirate Mazes aren't anything special. They seem to be the most basic ones in Pac-Man World. However, the 4th Pirate Maze is filled with a few angry parrot that will drop cannonballs on you, so watch out for that.

The 5th maze is the unlockable one from Corsair's Cove, the one that takes place underwater. This made me notice a bit more how much slower it feels to move again.

The 6th and last one is from Crazy Cannonade. Remember that this maze barricades some pathways against you with barrels, which may be pretty bad if you're getting chased around by those Ghosts.

After completing one area of mazes, you automatically move onto the next area, which is the Ruins area, in this case.
