Loch Shiel Canoe Circuit Day 3

Day 3 of our trip from Glenfinnan, down Loch Shiel, down the River Shiel into Loch Moidart. Then into the sea and back up Lock Ailort.
The weather was kind to us and it was an absolutely amazing trip.
In this episode we visit Finan's Island with it's old burial ground and ruined chapel. Then it's onwards to the surprisingly shallow end of the Loch and the River Shiel.
It was down this river we encountered the only bit of unfriendliness, with some toffs shouting "No, No, No, you can't stop here" at us as we approached the shore for a food break. Other than them everyone we met on our trip, not that we met many people, were really friendly and helpful.
There is an opportunity to restock at Acharacle but the shop has limited opening hours so it's best to check it'll actually be open. We had enough supplies so didn't test this option.
At the end of the River Shiel there is a drop to the sea. At high tide the drop is levelled out and it can, allegedly, be easily paddled. We arrived almost bang on low tide. We had hoped to find a wild camping spot along the river but couldn't fond anything suitable, so our timing for the drop to the sea wasn't ideal. There is however a pretty good portage route.
Tioram Castle was a fantastic spot and a great place to camp. There was some kind of expedition camped on the 'mainland' just the other side of the causeway so that could be another good spot.
