LEGO Wrecked Shrimp Boat set

Описание к видео LEGO Wrecked Shrimp Boat set

I got this set awhile ago and thought it’d go along well with the boats/ocean stuff I’ve been putting a lot of together recently, plus I’ve got a pretty fair amount of Hidden Side stuff in my back log, & this was a chance to get 1 put together. I will start with what I view as the positives. It comes with 4 above average minifigures, 2 are unique to this set, & one of which has the stuff to become a gloombie. The Jack & Parker figures are very common, but they are still solid figures with good printing. The set comes with a 2 fish, a tan crocodile, a ghost dog, & 2 brick built shrimp, a lot of animals for a $30 set. The underwater build looks good for a secondary build. The set also comes with a canoe. The main build is a pretty good shrimp boat that also has the ability to break in half to be wrecked. I like the urban decay vibe of the entire Hidden Side series, plus the idea of a shrimp boat, both fits in well with the theme, but is also unique; I feel like there’s lots of fishing boats out there but we’ve never got a shrimp boat before & probably won’t again. I think that for $30 you get a lot of stuff, a big main build, a side build, a big animal with multiple smaller ones, 4 figs, and the canoe. The negatives will be the excessive use of stickers for 1. There’s a couple of spots where weird colors show through (bottom of the boat & croc, the color wheel for the game). The ap/game is something I’ve tried but I can’t seem to either figure out or get very enthusiastic about. Transforming the set into a monster rock with a zombie/ghost sailor also is a feature I’ll probably never take advantage of. Also, the boat seems a bit blocky or something not quite right to me, then when it “breaks” in half, it’s a odd clean cut down the middle. Lastly, I’m not really sure what the purpose of the canoe is? Or for that matter, I’m not super sure what exactly that rock build is? This set kinda seem to be all over the place, an ocean ship, a canoe, a crocodile, fish from the ocean, rocks that maybe be underwater but also maybe on land? For a grade, I’d give this set a B, it’s above average, & I feel like it’s a good def, but it leaves a lot of stuff to be be desired or that could be improved upon.
