Time to say goodbye to 2024 and move onwards!

2024 was a weird one. I feel it flew by before I could really make a proper assessment of it. It was a somewhat "meh" year for me personally, but certainly better than the disaster that was 2023 so I'll take it lol. Thank you all for the support on the Christmas community post btw! My Christmas was pretty good and I hope all of ye'res was too :D

Anyway video discussion time! So as you may know the beginning of this year was when I started getting into music production. I was messing around and had an idea to do a little medley of Northeast Frost Street and Planet Frostak, the inspiration of which came from ‪@Bardometer‬'s dual remix of Northeast and Planet Earthfall! You should absolutely check out said remix and his other stuff too the dude is such an inspiration and all round just a great guy, plus at the time of uploading this he'll have a new vid premiering very soon! I'll have his remix linked in the video information card thing :)

I chose to combine Northeast with Frostak since I love both winter levels in video games and these songs ^^ I had originally drafted the idea for this remix back in March, so about 3 months into my experience, and uhhhh yeah the first draft of this song definitely sounded like that amount of experience alright lmao, it wasn't horrendous but I thought "sheesh this'll need a lot of work, I'll return to it when I'm better, I got other stuff to do right now" and well, the other stuff has been done and I'd like to think I'm better now so I returned to the song this month lol, as per the original idea I also had the Frostak part evolve into the Heroes in Another Dimension version of the Rainbow Resort theme, but including a Return to Dream Land cameo in both referencing that one level's theme and the rendition of Northeast that's used in RtDL DX's credits screen were ideas that had came to me only after I had came back to this remix! I thought it was perfect since it kinda helped bring the song full circle, and since I also use said theme in my End of Year video outros, but it got even more perfect xD I was drawing both Blizzard Ice and Regular Ice artwork to go along with the video and then realised, the inclusion of RtDL content gave me an excuse to redraw my old Christmas piece from 2020 of Snow Bowl Kirby! It was nice to return to this piece in particular because I like it a lot despite it being pretty outdated art style wise, so giving it a fresh coat of paint felt great B) The remix had a bumpy start but I feel it really evolved into something I'm really happy with :D

So yeah that's about it regarding all that, oh and yeah the outro of this vid has the very first membership thanks section thing! Let me know if you guys are happy with how things look, I think an idea I'll look into implementing for next vid is a way for the names to reflect the badge the member has, that might look cool but idk, we'll see. And uhhh yeah that's just about all I have to say for today! Thank you all for your continued support throughout this year! I hope that you all are looking forward to what's in store for 2025 which will include the fabled Meta Knight video, but do expect there to be filler videos in between.
