Ylläs belongs to the Pallas - Yllästunturi National Park and also to the area called Mountain - Lapland, where, as the name implies, most of the Finnish mountains are located here.
Tourist attractions have been built for several of the area's mountains, as well as for Yllästunturi, which has more than 60 ski slopes. Ylläs also has the longest illuminated ski slope in Finland, measuring 2,600 meters.
There are more than 300 km of cross-country ski trails in Ylläs, of which almost 40 km are illuminated.
In addition to nature activities, there are many other things to see and do in the areaall the year round.
