Moving to a new home can be such an exciting adventure, and it can also be overwhelming for our adorable pets. Studies show that pets can feel anxious when faced with environmental changes. Recognizing these signs and taking steps to ease their stress is critical to ensure a smooth transition for our pets and us.

What mistakes to avoid when moving;
1) Avoid transferring our stress & anxiety onto our pets.
2) Paying your security deposit before getting your pet approved whether at a condo or apartment complex.

What to do for your pets?
1) Include them in the moving process as boxes will be a part of your routine until your family moves.
2) Keep their bedding and toys as is. Their scent offers them comfort, safety and routine.
3) If you can, take your pets to a pet daycare or board them on moving day. This will keep them active, out of the way, and away from our heightened stress.
4) Once in new home, stream dog channels that provide anti-anxiety music. Rotate channels every 3-4 weeks as our pets will recognize that music.
