THE DREAM BEHIND THE ACADEMY

The Esteem Bra Fitting Academy was born from a dream and a goal we envisioned 14 years ago. We recognized a gap in the industry’s need for a platform that could disrupt the isolation often felt by independent lingerie boutiques. Back then, the technology to support such a vision wasn't available, and as new business owners, we had a steep learning curve ahead.

LEARN FROM EXPERIENCE

Our journey in the lingerie industry was not without its challenges. My mother and I both came from corporate business backgrounds, with experience in retail and custom bra making. We believed that combining our skills would lead to success in our own small business. However, the reality was different from our initial vision.

OVERCOMING INDUSTRY CHALLENGES

One of the first challenges we encountered was the scarcity mindset prevalent in the lingerie industry. When we reached out to other independent boutiques for advice, we met with resistance. It was as if knowledge was a closely guarded secret and sharing it would lead to competition rather than collaboration.

A NEW PERSPECTIVE ON COMPETION

This scarcity mindset was surprising to us, especially since we saw the real competition as the big box stores and chains selling poor-quality products. These stores often fail to provide women with the proper fit and quality they deserve. Our mission is to target the estimated 70 to 80 percent of women who have never been professionally fitted and are unaware of what a great fit feels like.
