Through reasonable chemical composition ratio and different heat treatment processes, the matrix organization can be controlled for the sohnite, flexural, bainite or martensite, etc. The carbide types are Cr7C3 eutectic carbide, Cr23C6 secondary carbide and molybdenum carbide Mo2C, etc.

The core material can be selected from ductile iron or gray iron according to the application. It has high hardness and excellent wear resistance, which can extend the service life of the rollers, withstand shock and vibration under high temperature and high pressure, and is not prone to thermal cracks and breakage. It also has good thermal fatigue resistance and can be used for high-strength and high-precision rolling operations.
