A drive through Beverley

Описание к видео A drive through Beverley

Beverley is a town in the East Riding of Yorkshire, 27 miles south-east of York, 9 miles north-west of Hull and about 12 miles from the sea. About 31,000 people live here. Beverley Minster dating from 1220, dominates the town. North Bar was built in 1409. Special double decker buses with arched roofs were made to pass under it.

The drive started at 1.30 on October 17 2024 in Flemingate. It crosses the railway line heading towards Beverley Minster where it bears right into Eastgate. At the junction with Lord Roberts Road it turns right initially and heads towards the railway station via Railway Street. It then restarts at the Eastgate/Lord Roberts Road junction and heads westwards. At the mini roundabout it initially goes straight over into Cross Street which stops at the pedestrian zone. It then restarts at the mini roundabout turning left into Champney Road and then right into Lairgate which eventually becomes North Bar Within. We then go through North Bar and on into Molescroft Road and North Bar Without. We leave that near the 'Welcome to Beverley' sign and briefly show North Bar from the north side. Finally the drive restarts at the Champney Road/Lairgate junction again where this time we turn left and then bear left continuing along Lairgate to Keldgate where we turn left and head eastwards towards the Minster and Minster Yard South where the trip ends at the Flemingate/Eastgate junction we passed near the start.
