How to create a stunning turquoise blue patina on copper with just a few simple steps and basic equipment. In this video I show my process while working on a commission for organic-looking copper pieces. I begin by cleaning the copper with warm acid, then apply salt and ammonia fumes to achieve a bold turquoise patina. Finally I seal the transformation with molten beeswax and use a fine wire brush to polish and enhance contrasting highlights, bringing the copper to life.
