👉Tips:
-Let them come up with their own problem first - every answer is valid!
-Encourage reflection: "Why do you think that one is easy?" "Would it be easy for everyone?"
-Follow up with curiosity: "Can you make it a little bit harder?" or "What would make a problem really tricky?"

💭Challenge for older kids: Ask "What makes a problem easy for YOU even though it might be hard for someone else" or "Can you create an easy problem and a hard problem that use the same numbers?"

This kind of question helps kids:
➡️ Develop metacognition and reflect on their own mathematical thinking and learning process
➡️ Build confidence by recognizing what they know and understand, rather than only focusing on what's challenging
