One more day of 'mild' temperatures before the climb to 100-degrees, and beyond for some. High pressure is building, resulting in gusty winds for coast and breezy conditions inland. Coastal gusts could exceed 40 mph and inland gusts around 25 mph. A cool pocket of air to the north is regulating temperatures though, through Wednesday with overnight lows in the 40s. However, once a dry cold front moves on to Montana, high pressure will take over and only build from Thursday and beyond. 100-degree temperatures are likely for most from Friday through Sunday with the hottest temperatures Saturday afternoon near 103-degrees for the Willamette Valley and 107-degrees for Douglas County. Southern Oregon, closer to 112-degrees. Temperatures this hot are not out of the question for Oregon, but a little ahead of schedule. Regardless, another pattern shift thanks to deepening low pressure offshore will bring back 90s and eventually 80s as early as July 12. Stay tuned.
