Bonnie - Heroes Arise

Hero story
The smell of blood and smoke filled the air. The survivors cleaned up the mess as snow fell, gradually covering the scorched earth as if the battle had never existed.
She still held the vulcan cannon, scanning the horizon with vigilance until the orders to cease were given. Keep going, she said to herself. Relaxation... means death.
As a combat specialist, they call her Bonnie and the attention she gets makes her the envy of many fighters. However, envy is useless; if she could, she would trade it all away for the life she took for granted.
Since war broke out, everyday campus life became a luxury. The days of late night chit-chat with the girls seem like a distant memory. Every night, in the darkest nightmares, she saw her friends again. Every night, she is reminded of the price she paid for her arrogance. She thought she was tough; she thought she could protect them; but she fell straight into their trap. When she went back, everything was on fire. She tried going in, but couldn't. In her hand was half a ripped photograph of the girls still in uniform, smiling at their bright futures... she cried out and vowed there and then to avenge her friends! Until her enemies were wiped out, she would keep wearing her school uniform to commemorate them.
Now, she uses her bullets to vent her anger and hatred. She'll keep fighting as long as she lives—for the happiness of others; for the annihilation of pain!
