The Achenseebahn narrow gauge railway opened in 1889 and connects Jenbach on the main Vienna to Innsbruck line with Seepspitz on the shores of Austria's biggest lake, Achensee.
The line climbs 440 metres over its 6.78km length and utilises the Riggenbach rack system on the steepest climbs. The locomotive pushes the carriages up the incline and then runs round at the top to pull them along the level section to the terminus at Seepspitz.
