How to Cut a Cigar | Simple Tutorial with Kirby Allison

In today's video Kirby Allison shows you the easy but important method of how to cut a cigar. It may sound simple, and in reality it is, but all too often we hear of people doing it wrong, and ending up damaging their cigar, or ruining the enjoyment of the process of smoking that cigar. You can avoid all of the potential pitfalls with just a few simple guidelines to help lead you through the process.

The main things to remember are:
1. A good cigar cutter - Ideally a double guillotine with sharp blades
2. Find the line of the shoulder of the cigar - Never cut past it!
3. Take your time - Better to make sure you are in the right place before cutting
4. A short sharp cut - A firm quick cut ensures a straighter cut with less frayed edges.
