জাতীয় নির্বাচনের তফসিলের পরও দিল্লির অবস্থান অভিন্ন বলে জানিয়েছেন ভারতের পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের মুখপাত্র অরিন্দম বাগচী। তিনি বলেন, এ বিষয়ে সমাধান বাংলাদেশের জনগণ ও তাদের গণতান্ত্রিক ব্যবস্থাই বের করবে। অন্যদিকে মার্কিন পররাষ্ট্র দপ্তরের মুখপাত্র ম্যাথিউ মিলার বলছেন, যুক্তরাষ্ট্র একক কোনো দলের পক্ষে নয়। শান্তিপূর্ণ উপায়ে অবাধ ও সুষ্ঠু নির্বাচন পরিবেশ তৈরিতে কাজ করতে হবে সব পক্ষকে।

India's Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that Delhi's position remains the same despite the schedule of national elections. He said that the people of Bangladesh and their democratic system will find the solution in this regard. On the other hand, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller says that the United States is not in favor of any single party. All parties should work to create a free and fair election environment through peaceful means.
