Gas cylinders should be stored on a firm base in a well ventilated area. Dangerous Goods signs like HAZCHEM & No Smoking must always be displayed. Do not store gas cylinders near combustible materials or naked flames and keep clear of water pools. The storage area should be kept clean at all times. Avoid below-ground storage where possible. Where impractical, consider atmospheric monitoring or other risk control measures.
