Astrophotography tutorial part 1 - Planning for milkyway photography

Planning is the most important stage of astrophotography. You have to have a dark, clear sky, no the direction you will be shooting, and not what time of year and time of night to go out. (I neglected to mention, in the northern hemisphere, the spring and summer months are the best time to photograph the milkyway.
