SCARED of porting COATED aluminium cylinders? its SO dangerous that the coating will come off!! YES it is, it needs to come off, otherwise you cant change the ports ;) but its not a problem. use sandpaper rolls, so it splinters in small pieces. at the end for finishing you round all edges and everything is good again!

tools: small & big sandpaper roll, sandpaper flapwheel
do NOT use millers as for cast iron!

its btw way more pleasant to work with an aluminium cylinder as the material is soft, the harder cast iron is much more hazzle.

the cylinder:
its a quattrini M1X shortened at the bottom to lower the transfer port timings as they are pretty high (125) with longstroke 2,5mm exhaust port rising was needed.

(yes, very well spotted, the 2 pictures are not the M1X its an older malossi port 221)
