Sand artists rejoice in 'the perfect blank canvas' provided by Australian beaches 🏖️ | ABC Australia

A Port Macquarie artist and photographer, Alex McNaught, is capturing the attention of locals and visitors, by raking large striking patterns in the sand on a local beach.

He calls it ‘Art in an Hour’ and says he is delighted to be able to do something to make people smile- and it’s also benefitting his emotional well-being.

Meanwhile a Port Macquarie local ‘Rainbow Rick’ is delighting locals by creating beach sculptures to mark public holidays.

Both artists are delighted to be spreading joy through simple beach art.
