Michael Bolton - To Love Somebody out now!

"To Love Somebody" is a song I loved by the Bee Gees. When I had to meet Barry Gibb we started speaking about our love of Otis Redding and Barry said that he heard Otis in his head when he was writing "To Love Somebody." I immediately understood why I loved the song so much melodically, so I recorded it with David Foster producing. Michael Bolton's version of "To Love Somebody" was released as a single as well as included on the album Timeless: The Classics and his version reached #11 on the US Hot 100 Chart in 1993.

It's an incredible experience having 60 plus symphony orchestra musicians playing these beautiful arrangements of some of my favorite songs. It brings so much more dimension to songs I've recorded, some I've written, a lot of them hits of mine but that I've been performing all around the world for about 35 years. Now I get to experience the width and breadth of the emotional content of the songs, transformed through this amazing group of arrangements that is this symphonic orchestra album. It’s truly a dream come true for me.

The album, A Symphony of Hits, which includes To Love Somebody, debuted number #1 on the Billboard Classical Album Chart in 2019.
