DIY CATIO - STEP BY STEP BUILDING CASTLE FOR TAZZ (NOT A HOW TO)

Описание к видео DIY CATIO - STEP BY STEP BUILDING CASTLE FOR TAZZ (NOT A HOW TO)

Update...

For everyone who has enjoyed watching all of TAZZs videos....thank you....I love sharing his adventures and love hearing all the positive things from so many many people! ❤️❤️❤️

For all the negative comments/questions...

Motion lights....
1. They help me know where he is at all times.
2. When they turn on and Tazz is NOT out there, then I know something else is! Then I lock his door so he doesn’t go out there.
3. It may intimidate or scare a predator.
4. They are only on the walkways. I have night vision cameras in the cat house.
5. Sometimes they attack flying insects that he can chase.
6. He has lots of places to hide in the dark and stalk his prey. I know this, because he has caught a few and brought them in the house fir me to enjoy!

Jail?
Ummm NO not really, if so, then you could say that keeping your cats locked inside a house would be the same. What IS freedom?
It’s called safety! I spend lots of time in the cat house with him along with other friends it’s definitely not jail. If it weren’t for the cat house he wouldn’t get to enjoy being outside whenever he wants.

In Arizona, there are coyotes and other scary creatures that lurk in the dark waiting for a snack. Also, lots of cactus that hurt when you go chasing a mouse into one. Tazz is an Alpha cat and FEARLESS, which makes him an easier target, because instead of running away or hiding he thinks he’s a bad ass and stands his ground. That would certainly be a mistake if confronted with a coyote or bobcat!

I built this castle for his safety and freedom and do not regret any of it. It may not be perfect and does have limitations, but he is safe and happy. That’s all that matters to me.

I’m so excited to show you guys the Castle my Mom built for me outside!!! 🐱

But first, I want to tell you how life changing it has been since I am able to go outside safely to watch the birds and mice and rabbits that come to visit me everyday.

If you actually read this long post, you will understand....

Before my castle was built, I had to go outside on a leash. Mom felt bad that I had to be tied up and couldn’t be free to roam. She said there was coyotes and other scary monsters that would have me for a snack!!

She went outside with me everyday to make sure I was safe. We both hated it when I’d get stuck cuz my leash got wrapped around things.

Every morning I would try to wake her up about 4am so she would get up to take me out 😩

I tried EVERYTHING to wake her up!
I walked on her, yelled at her face, knocked things off the nightstand, and run as fast as I could thru the house making sure the bed was the finish line!

After about 4 hours of my tireless efforts, she would finally get up and take me outside. She always had to help me when my leash got tangled around stuff. I was a pain I her a** !
But she loves me and would do anything for me to be her happy fur baby.

So, she decided to build me a safe place to go outside whenever I wanted.

She started on my Castle on September 30th. The mosquitoes wouldn’t stop biting, she had bruises and scratches on her arms and legs, her fingertips were sore and tore up until she could no longer be identified by fingerprinting!!!

She built it all by herself, so she had to be creative and come up with ways to pick up tools with her toes and hold them between her knees.
It was kinda funny tho 😂😂 She told me she had been developing that skill since she was little. Her mom Mary Cairns used to laugh at her when she picked up things with her toes! 😂😂

It was hard work. But she called it a “labor of love”

After she finished each section, I got to go out and explore 🐱 It was awesome!

November 26th she finally finished it!

I got to go outside whenever I wanted. I didn’t have to try to wake her up to take me out anymore.

Now, I wake her up everyday about 8am when I come back inside to snuggle next to her and purr loudly in her ear to let her know how happy I am. We are both very happy about that 😊

Here is a link to the video of my Castle. I will post another one later so you can see how much fun it is to run thru it and sit for hours watching all the wild friends in the backyard.

Thanks for reading this long story.
AND
A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Bob Livingston for
funding this project and letting mom build it in our beautiful backyard! ❤️💋❤️

Now you can see my castle...
