Schwartz of the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine discusses central sleep apnea (CSA)/Cheyne-Stokes respiration (CSR) pathogenesis, polysomnographic manifestations, and clinical impact. Dr. Schwartz also discusses therapeutic approaches to CSA/CSR, including the remedē® System which uses transvenous phrenic nerve stimulation to treat CSA.

Indication for use: The remedē® System is an implantable phrenic nerve stimulator indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe central sleep apnea (CSA) in adult patients.
