For religious arguments to be effective they must have an element of accountability or consequences, or else they are meaningless. Religious and theological beliefs that are not derived from the biblical text are invalid. Too often, religious beliefs have no footing other than opinion or Church doctrine. The proper foundation of any religious argumentation is textual, biblical. Future videos we produce will refer back to this video to remind the viewer that religious arguments must be valid and that all of them are consequential. Too often pastors, theologians and other Church leaders argue points at length and then give up their positions by agreeing to disagree because we are all going to heaven anyway. In view of many scriptures, this is simply false. We should be more concerned about entering heaven, avoiding hell, living properly, and loving God than holding on to beliefs that cannot be supported by scripture. The reason for discussion is not to win a debate or graciously accept someone's view we disagree with. Rather, it is to verify the truth and expose error in a clear way so we all can understand the truth and implement it to the best of our ability. I am open and ready to be corrected if I have a false view and I hope you are too. My genuine objective is to encourage you in your journey to Heaven.
