The week kicks off in the mountains of Glacier National Park, as we tour the Going to the Sun Road. We push south to find camping opportunities in Flathead National Forest and then we turn our attention to the northwestern corner of Montana, to explore off the beaten path. We summit Northwest Peak, only a stone's throw from Idaho and the Canadian border in Kootenai National Forest. High quality food is prepared and consumed as a smoky haze fills the atmosphere. I teach Finegan how to prepare a campfire.
