Psalm 9 - Be Kind To Me God || Bible in Song || Project of Love

In the light of recent events, an exuberant thanksgiving Psalm may seem a bit inappropriate.

But when the enemy gives their all to get us to look down, to cast down our eyes, isn't our only hope to look up?

Psalm 121 says, 'my help comes from God, who made heaven and earth.'

This Psalm 9 is my testimony. I just love how the Message translation puts it:

‭‭Once you’ve pulled me back from the gates of death, I’ll write the book on Hallelujahs; on the corner of Main and First I’ll hold a street meeting; I’ll be the song leader; we’ll fill the air with salvation songs. (Psalm 9: 13-14)

Four years ago I had a supernatural encounter with God. In that moment He freed me from 20+ years of severe depression, my longing for death (my 'gates of death') and replaced it with an overwhelming, supernatural Peace.

Two years after that, Jan 19 2021, I heard a gentle voice speak and I started 'the book on Hallelujahs': God's word put to music, Project of Love. This IS my life.

And I won't rest till we have filled, no, saturated the air with 'salvation songs'.

Times like these make it painfully clear that we can't make it on our own. We need God. Not just in bad times, but every single day. Apart from Him there's very little we can do.

So, look up. When the enemy strikes hard, you sing louder. Your weapon is a melody. It truly is. David knew that 🔥🙌
